About me

I’m a naturally ambitious young professional with an entrepreneurial dream and a tendency to overwork and push through tiredness - only to end up producing low‑quality work and feeling burned out.

Furthermore, I have a natural tendency to over‑worry - almost compulsively - and it gets triggered when I’m stressed and low on mental energy.

Balancing these two sides of me is a never‑ending challenge.

In essence, I want to reach my full potential - both professionally and socially.

That’s why I’ve turned to science.

With a master’s degree in sports science, I have the theoretical background to read and understand scientific articles, and I know that managing workload effectively is the foundation for optimal performance.

So I dove in.

While working as a project manager in a fast‑moving startup with demanding bosses - and trying to turn this newsletter into the venture I’ve always dreamt about - I’ve navigated the edges of a full‑blown burnout more than once.

That’s when my ambition becomes my enemy: the anxious mind takes over, my work quality drops, my decision‑making worsens, and I’m a worse friend, son, and brother.

What helps is managing what I call my mental energy.

When I balance workload and recovery, focus on sleep, and train with meditation and neurofeedback, I keep my cognitive resources high throughout the day.

And then I see different results: better work at my 9‑to‑5 aas well as on this passion project, clearer thinking, better decisions, more creativity, and real bandwidth for the people I care about.

I built OptiMindInsights first to learn all this for myself - and now to share it with anyone this resonates with, anyone who feels their big ambitions sometimes aren’t serving them well. The goal isn’t to lower our ambitions - it’s to spend our mental energy wisely so we can actually reach them.
